Choking on words unspoken
I find it hard to breathe
No one said
This was going to be easy
The words get caught in my throat

i'm learning to control pride, it's the enemy of the brain i wrote something similar. nice one ;-)

(word) = whispering/echo
[word] = stern voice/screaming
